Vocal Art Ensemble to present choral-music concert

By
From page A15 | May 03, 2013 |

The Vocal Art Ensemble presents “GODAI — Choral Music Summoning the Five Ancient Elements,” at three separate concerts May 24 to 26.

Earth, wind, fire, water and void will each be represented with transcendent a capella singing, instrumentals, and dance — unleashing one by one the solid and the fluid, the passionate and the wise, and the intangible energy that connects us all. Welcoming back a rich roster of past guest artists, VAE forges powerhouse favorites with enticing new discoveries in a program shaped by characteristic depth of emotion and attention to detail.

The shows are schedule for 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 2620 Capitol Ave., Sacramento; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Unitarian Universalist Church of Davis, 27074 Patwin Road; and 4 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at Davis United Methodist Church, 1620 Anderson Road.

The suggested donation is between $6 and $20. For more information, visit www.vae.trug.com.
