Who’s afraid of ghosts?

By From page A9 | October 19, 2012

Spooky tales from across the sea make up Acme Theatre Company’s “In a Grove: Four Japanese Ghost Stories” by Eric Coble. The story covers the happenings in the apparently abandoned village of Kugosi. With the use of live music, shadow-play and giant puppets, Acme director Emily Henderson weaves humorous and spooky stories of the village’s past. There will be three showings of the play on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s performances are at 4 and 7:30 p.m. at the Pamela Trokanski Performing Arts Center, 2720 Del Rio Place, and Sunday’s free showing is at 2 p.m. at International House, Davis, 10 College Park. Admission for Saturday’s shows is $12 general, $10 for senior citizens and $8 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at http://grove.brownpapertickets.com.
