‘Wizard of Oz’ sing-along slated at Crest

Dorothy, Glinda the Good Witch and all their Oz friends will be on hand for “The Wizard of Oz” sing-along at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento.

The fun begins with karaoke in the lobby, followed by an Oz character costume contest and the screening of the 1939 classic film, at 2 p.m.

Contestants of all ages are invited to come dressed as their favorite Oz characters to compete for gift and cash prizes.

Advance tickets are $10 general and $8 for senior citizens and students, available at the Crest Theatre box office, 1013 K St., or online at tickets.com. Tickets at the door will be $12 and $10.
