Woodland Camera Forum will hear from travel photographer

By
June 6, 2011 |

The Woodland Camera Forum will present Jan Lightfoot, who organizes a Solano County online photography group, at its monthly meeting at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 21. The program, which is free and open to the public, takes place at Norton Hall, 70 Cottonwood St., Woodland.

Lightfoot will present images she has taken on her travels, and will talk about Meetup groups that offer outings and photo opportunities in the Davis area.

Lightfoot, who had her own darkroom in high school, has been a certified photographic counselor, a photographer for the Idaho Statesman newspaper and has worked in custom color printing labs.

She is the organizer for Exploring Photography, an online Meetup group, and the travel director for the Sierra Camera Club, as well as a Photographic Society of America member.

In addition to Lightfoot’s presentation, the members of the Woodland Camera Forum will display prints of their images, and discuss how they created them and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

For more information, call Susan Bovey at (530) 219-0955 or visit http://woodlandcameraclub.shutterfly.com.
