“Star Wars” fans are invited to an evening of games, contests and fun, plus a screening of the original 1977 movie, outdoors at the historic Gibson House Museum on Friday. Admission is free.
Activities start at 6:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at dusk, around 8:30 p.m. The Gibson House is at 512 Gibson Road in Woodland.
Costumes are encouraged to get into the spirit of the evening, and to compete in the costume contest. And start practicing your best Wookie calls, too, for that competition.
Guests are invited to bring lounge chairs and picnic blankets. Concessions will be for sale, sponsored by the Backpack for Kids project. No alcohol or tobacco are permitted.
Concessions available and sponsored by Backpack For Kids. James Berrera, a trick roper and master bull whipper, will provide pre-movie entertainment and at intermission. Museum tours will be available from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and plants from the Gibson House garden will be sold from 6 to 8 p.m.
Everyone has a chance to win raffle prizes; tickets will cost $1.
