Young filmmakers debut in Davis

The second annual Davis Youth Film Festival is sure to entertain as youngsters showcase their own films from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St.

Entrants will be judged by industry professionals in the categories of fiction, documentary, public service announcement/informational, animation as well as the “people’s choice” award.

The contest, which is now closed, is open to anyone under 18 from any city.

Fans will have a chance to view the films ahead of time on the kids landing page of the website iSeeDavis.com.

Admission is $5 and proceeds benefit the Davis Art Center. The event is sponsored by The Gift of Education, Bankers Lending Group and iSeeDavis.
