The Mondavi Center has announced five “Just Added” concerts, which are additions to the 2013-14 season. The new events — which will take place in December, February and April — will feature artists who have drawn big crowds at Mondavi in the past: Pink Martini, the Blind Boys of Alabama, the San Francisco Symphony, the Chieftains and Diana Krall.
Hailing from Portland, and featuring about a dozen musicians, Pink Martini is a multicultural musical adventure. The “little orchestra” was formed in 1994 by bandleader Thomas Lauderdale and soon developed an international following.
