Adiós to Aioli — for now

By
March 4, 2011 |

Aioli Bodega Española closed on Valentine’s Day. The Spanish food and tapas restaurant was at 808 Second St. Owner Reda Bellarbi still maintains his original restaurant in Midtown Sacramento, at 1800 L St.

Bellarbi’s son, Aziz Bellarbi-Salah, said the Davis Aioli was “doing pretty well.” His dad didn’t want to leave, but the lease was not renewed. He said Davis City Councilwoman Sue Greenwald has contacted them, suggesting other Davis sites for Aioli. He said his dad is “waiting for a location that speaks to him.”
