Davis schools locked down Thursday morning

By February 22, 2013

Students at Davis High School, North Davis Elementary School, King High School and Davis School for Independent Study were on lockdown this morning following reports that someone was armed in the vicinity of Oak Avenue and B streets.

St. James Elementary School was also reported to be on lockdown.

At 11:15 a.m., in an email to parents, Davis Superintendent Winfred Roberson reported that “the police were summoned and the suspects have been detained.”
“We want to assure parents/guardians all safety protocols are in place and all precautions were taken,” he said.

As of 11:30 a.m. today, only DHS remained on lockdown “pending further investigation.”
