Aggie Inn adds rewards program

By
March 11, 2011 |

The Aggie Inn in Davis recently expanded its reservations system and added an international rewards program.

The 33-room boutique hotel joined Ascend Collection, a membership program from Choice Hotels International Inc., a news release said. This network is composed of historic, boutique and unique hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean.

“Ascend Collection members maintain their independent style and identity, backed by the resources of a global hospitality company,” the news release said. “The membership enables the Aggie to offer its guests an international central reservations system and the Choice Privileges rewards program. Additionally, the hotel gains visibility before a network of more than 12 million Choice Privileges rewards members worldwide.”

Through Sept. 30, the Aggie Inn’s rates start at $84 per night. This newly renovated property, at 245 First St., is near the UC Davis campus.

The hotel features a business center and fitness room as well as guest rooms with pillow-top mattresses, flat-screen televisions and refrigerators. Guest cottages also come with sitting areas, private patios, kitchens and hot tubs.

Ascend Collection made its debut in fall 2008 and now has more than 70 member lodgings.

“The network appeals to a growing number of travelers who like to discover upscale independent hotels with distinctive personalities and local flair when visiting new cities,” the news release said.
