B&L Bike Shop hosts Ladies Night

By
March 10, 2011 |

B&L Bike Shop, at 610 Third St., and B&L Too, next door, will hosts a Ladies Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

“At B & L, we see Davis as a great hub for the joining of women with athletics and activity,” an event announcement said. “Be it cycling, running, outdoor adventuring, eco-friendly endeavors or simple recreation, we endeavor to empower and encourage any woman to seek an active and conscientious lifestyle.”

During the event, shop staff will educate women about basic bicycle maintenance, such as fixing a flat tire, and choosing appropriate cycling apparel for their body shape and style of riding. They also will offer a quick, free tune-up on every bicycle brought to the event.

Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served. Raffle items and door prizes are planned. There will be a raffle and door prizes. All of the raffle proceeds will benefit a local woman, Susan Ashdown, and the NorCal Aids Ride.

For more information, call B&L at (530) 756-3540.
