Capitol Corridor trains to run on holiday schedule

By May 25, 2011

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Capitol Corridor trains will run on a weekend/holiday schedule on Monday.

Capitol Corridor officials encourage holiday travelers to purchase tickets in advance and arrive early at stations as parking is limited at many stations.

Train travelers should pack light as riders are limited to two pieces of carry-on baggage. Each carry-on bag must weigh less than 50 pounds.

The Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority partners with Amtrak, Union Pacific Railroad, Caltrans and the communities comprising the CCJPA to offer intercity passenger rail service in Northern California. The Capitol Corridor route serves 16 stations along a 170-mile rail corridor between the Sierra foothills and the Bay Area.
