First Northern Bank has hired Ryan Litke as vice president/commercial loan officer on the bank’s real estate industries team.
Litke brings 13 years of real estate lending and special assets recovery to First Northern Bank, both as a loan officer and in managerial roles. Most recently, he served as senior vice president for Placer Capital, where his responsibilities included underwriting, reviewing loan portfolios and generating new loan business.
His prior financial industry experience includes managing special assets recovery for Tri Counties Bank and Citizens Bank of Northern California, which was acquired by Tri Counties. In 2011, he received the Tri Counties Bank President’s Club Award.
Litke began his banking career at Comerica Bank in 2001, managing a multimillion-dollar portfolio of residential acquisition, land development and construction loans. During the recession, Litke assumed the position of vice president of special assets for Comerica, where he managed, monitored and resolved troubled residential and commercial real estate construction credits.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The Grass Valley native lives in Sacramento with his wife.
For 10 months in 2012-013, Litke and his wife traveled the world, visiting 23 countries throughout Central and South America, Asia and Europe. He has volunteered in an orphanage in Ethiopia, at a turtle sanctuary in Nicaragua and in a recovery center in Thailand. He also completed the 500-mile Camino de Santiago walk across Spain. In 2006, Litke trekked to the Mount Everest Base Camp.
