Yolo Federal Credit Union recently donated $500 to Zamora Elementary School after winning a $250 first-place prize for its booth at the Yolo County Fair. The credit union matched the funds and made the gift to the school. The choice of beneficiary was made by the staff members who coordinated and designed the fair booth.
Zamora Elementary has participated in credit union’s CU @ School on-site savings program for the past several years and also lent desks and chairs needed for the booth.
“We enjoy working with Zamora’s PTA in bringing our school savings program to their students,” said Kelley Jacobsen, Yolo FCU marketing coordinator. “Every week we look forward to seeing the Zamora Zoonies save their money and create good savings habits that will last a lifetime.”
