UC Davis Law School graduate Emil Dixon opened the Davis Legal Center in West Davis on July 1. The private law office that assists clients with immigration and landlord-tenant issues. Dixon said he opened the office because he believes Davis needs an affordable legal option that specifically targets underrepresented groups.

Dixon earned his law degree at UCD’s King Hall School of Law in 2010, then studied law in Europe and earned his master of laws degree in international legal studies from New York University School of Law before returning to Davis with his wife and two daughters.

“My family and I fell in love with Davis when we were students here, and it’s always been our goal to return,” he said. “Now, we look forward to becoming part of the community. I am excited to offer personalized legal services to clients who deserve representation.”

The Davis Legal Center is in the Westlake Plaza Shopping Center, at 1260 Lake Blvd., Suite 244.
