The Davis Downtown Business Association will host a brown-bag lunch meeting Wednesday with special guest Stephen Souza, who is running for re-election to the Davis City Council.
The meeting will run from noon to 1 p.m. at the River City Bank conference room, 239 E St. in downtown Davis.
This lunchtime forum will give downtown business owners and community members an opportunity to meet and talk with Souza about his vision for job creation and economic development, his thoughts on a balanced budget, the need for a clean and reliable water source, and his efforts to develop green energy. The group also may review Souza’s accomplishments during his past eight years on the council.
Souza has been a resident of Davis since 1979 and is a graduate of Sacramento State University. He is a small business owner, City Council member and has been involved in civic service since 1988.
Organized by DDBA’s Visioning and Community Relations Committee, the brown-bag lunch series facilitates thought-provoking dialogue on issues affecting downtown Davis in a casual setting. For more information, go to www.DavisDowntown.com.
Participants are welcome to bring a lunch or purchase one at any downtown eatery. For more information, contact DDBA director Stewart Savage at (530) 392-8324 or [email protected]
