The Davis Downtown Business Association will host a brown-bag lunch discussion Wednesday on the proposed retail and parking structure project on the city-owned surface parking lot bounded by Third, Fourth, E and F streets.
The informal lunchtime forum, presented by the DDBA’s Visioning and Community Relations Committee, will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St., in downtown Davis.
City staff will make a brief presentation and address questions and comments regarding the proposed project design and schedule. Also presenting will be a representative from the Yackzan Group, which is a co-developer with the city for the project. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about downtown parking needs, strategic planning goals and business concerns such as appropriate access, storefront visibility and minimizing effects of construction, a news release said.
