Attention, all entrepreneurs. The Davis Adult School will offer two courses to turn your ideas into money. Students will learn how to set up their own virtual office and create a pitch to venture capital firms in the quest for funding their project.

Bill Denyer is the instructor for both classes, which begin Tuesday, Jan. 7, in Room L26 at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St.

* The Virtual Office: This class will teach business owners and entrepreneurs how to save money, while also growing their business by using available online, cloud-based tools, many of which are free. Each participant will get a free e-copy of the instructor’s book.

The 10-week session runs from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays.

* The Pitch: This class will teach entrepreneurs about the basics of pitching their company to investors and how to put an ideal pitch deck together. Entrepreneurs will learn about competitive analysis, market research to create an overview of their industry, developing a simple pro forma for investors, and which investors to pitch. Participants will receive a list of investors in different categories to get started.

The 10-week session runs from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays.

Students also may take both classes for a discounted rate plus one-on-one counseling and advice from an industry professional who has helped others turn their ideas into successful businesses.
