First-time home buyers invited to free seminar

Travis Credit Union will offer a free seminar on “Everything You Want to Know About Being a First-Time Home Buyer” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 13. The seminar will take place in the credit union’s Community Room at One Travis Way in Vacaville. To reserve a seat, call 707-449-4000 by April 12.

Preparation for home ownership begins long before the purchase actually takes place. This seminar will cover pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, determining how much house is affordable, saving for a down payment and other costs, credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, as well as the mortgage lending process.

Travis Credit Union, headquartered in Vacaville, has a branch in Davis at 1380 E. Covell Blvd., in the Oak Tree Plaza.
