By From page A17 | December 02, 2012

Golden 1 Credit Union recently donated $2,500 to the Food Bank of Yolo County to help families in need during the holiday season.

In addition, Golden 1 branches in Davis and Woodland have been collecting donated nonperishable food items and other necessities, such as diapers and baby formula, for the Food Bank.

“Our food drive is an important holiday tradition at Golden 1 — one that reflects our credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People,’ ” said Donna A. Bland, Golden 1 president and CEO. “This year, the need is great, and Golden 1 is proud to assist our community by coordinating food bank donations throughout the region. Everyone should have the opportunity for a warm and hearty meal during the holidays.”

Golden 1’s branch in Davis is at 508 Second St., Suite 101. For more information, visit golden1.com.
