Foundation, Applebee’s team to fight cancer

By From page A5 | June 23, 2013

For the ninth consecutive year, Applebee’s franchisees will support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in the quest to cure all kids’ cancer.

Applebee’s set a record of $500,000 in fundraising proceeds generated in 2012 and more than $3.2 million raised since 2005. This year, more than 700 restaurants nationwide will contribute, including the Davis restaurant at 1753 Research Park Drive, with a goal of reaching the $5 million mark.

Throughout July, restaurants will donate a portion of the sale of each lemonade (all varieties) through their Summer Squeeze promotion. Applebee’s guests also will have an opportunity to donate to ALSF through the purchase of a paper lemon.

Restaurants also will host various events, such as lemonade stands, golf tournaments, donation nights and more.
