“Everything You Want to Know About Being a First-Time Home Buyer” is the title of a free seminar offered Saturday, June 1, by Travis Credit Union.

The seminar will run from 9 a.m. to noon in the Community Room at the credit union, One Travis Way in Vacaville. To reserve a seat, call 707-449-4000 or 800-877-8328 by Friday, May 31.

Preparation for home ownership begins long before the purchase actually takes place. This seminar covers pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, determining how much house is affordable, saving for a down payment and other costs, credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, as well as the mortgage lending process.

Headquartered in Vacaville, Travis Credit Union serves those who live or work in 12 counties in the Sacramento region. It has a Davis branch at 1380 E. Covell Blvd. in the Oak Tree Plaza.
