Golden 1 Credit Union has announced its annual November canned food drive.
Throughout the month, collection bins will be available at Golden 1 branches in Davis, at 508 Second St., Suite 101, and in Woodland, at 1801 E. Gibson Road.
Members and the general public are invited to donate non-perishable food items and other necessities, such as diapers and baby formula, for families in need. Donations will benefit the Food Bank of Yolo County.
“Our food drive is an important holiday tradition at Golden 1 — one that reflects our credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People,’ ” said Donna A. Bland, Golden 1 president and CEO.
“This year, the need is great, and Golden 1 is proud to assist our community by coordinating food bank donations throughout the region. Everyone should have the opportunity for a warm and hearty meal during the holidays.”
Each year, Golden 1 collects and donates food to local, community-based food banks that are located near its branches. Past drives have provided more than 4,000 pounds of food for community organizations.
