Golden 1 Credit Union branches in Davis and Woodland collected food and household necessities during Golden 1’s annual companywide food drive. The food and supplies — as well as a check for $2,500 — were donated to the Food Bank of Yolo County.
During November, collection bins in all 83 Golden 1 branches throughout the state, as well as at the Golden 1 Operations Center, were filled by credit union members, employees and the general public. A total of 4,247 pounds of supplies, as well as $52,500 in monetary donations, have been distributed to 15 local and regional food banks throughout California.
“Our food drive has become a holiday tradition here at Golden 1,” said Donna A. Bland, Golden 1 president and CEO. “It’s one way we can help people in need get through the holiday season.”
Golden 1 Credit Union has a branch in Davis, at 508 Second St. For more information, visit golden1.com.
