Steve Currall, dean of the Graduate School of Management at UC Davis, moderates a question-and-answer session during the inaugural UC Innovation Series event Monday, hosted by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and UCD.

Leaders in business — including academics, new inventors and venture capitalists — gathered on campus to discuss how to build the economy and create jobs in the capital region with new innovations. The series was launched at UCD and is the first of 16 such events to be held at UC campuses throughout the state. More than 140 people attended.
