Investment basics covered at seminar

By

Manny Provedor, an Edward Jones financial adviser in Davis, will host a free 50-minute educational seminar titled “Foundations of Investing” seminar at 9 a.m. Friday, April 26, at the Pence Gallery, 212 D St. in downtown Davis.

Fear of the unknown sometimes prevents people from investing in the future, Provedor says. Developing an understanding of the basics simplifies the process of getting started in an investment program. This seminar addresses needs of new investors as well as those needing a refresher.

During the seminar, participants will learn more about the key features of bonds, stocks and mutual funds; the importance of asset allocation; and the impact of inflation on long-term goals.

The seminar is free, but space is limited. To make a reservation, call 530-753-9244. For more information about Edward Jones, visit www.edwardjones.com.
