Don Buol has been hired as Lyon Real Estate’s new training and development coordinator. He will ensure that Lyon agents and staff are thoroughly trained on new technologies and equipped with the skills required to excel in the ever-changing real estate industry.

Buol joined Lyon Real Estate in late 2009 and quickly achieved success, earning “Rising Star” as well as Sacramento Association of Realtors Master’s Club designation in 2010. In 2011, he was selected as sales manager for the Elk Grove office, and he also earned SAR Master’s Club designation in 2011 and 2012.

Prior to joining Lyon, Buol retired from the U.S. Air Force after a nearly 30-year career, serving in both the enlisted and officer corps. He was an Air Force master instructor and is trained in instructor methodology and course development. In addition, he led and managed training programs at many levels, including aircraft maintenance training for bases around the world.

After retiring from the Air Force, he served as director of education for the Universal Technical Institute’s Sacramento campus, where he led a 100-person team providing automotive-related technical training for a student body of 1,500-plus students.

Buol has a bachelor’s degree in occupational education and a master’s degree in aeronautical science.
