Certified nurse-midwife Marla Shauer joins Woodland Healthcare, seeing patients at both the Davis and Woodland medical offices.

Shauer received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. She received her medical education from the University of Pennsylvania Nurse Midwifery Program in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Woodland Healthcare, Shauer was a certified nurse midwife at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield.

“As a certified nurse midwife, I listen to women and take the time to help them understand what is going on with their bodies; I want them to have an amazing pregnancy and birth experience,” Shauer said. “As a member of the Woodland Healthcare team, I value the multi-service group, with accessible providers, who are both helpful and friendly.”
