New pizza place may serve all-ages music venue

By June 9, 2011

Luigi’s Slice, a Sacramento pizza parlor with an all-ages music venue, plans to open a restaurant at 213 E St., in the bulk of the former Discoveries space.

Building owner Dan Dowling said Luigi’s plans to use about 6,000 square feet of the building – its main floor and basement. Dowling operates the used furniture store Blue Elephant in that space today. That store will likely close in August to make room for the new tenant. Dowling said the restaurant management hopes to have it open by October.

My assumption is that the Davis venue, because of our demographic, would include the entertainment element, but the messages I left at Luigi’s have not been returned.
