New Verizon cell site expands coverage

By August 8, 2011

Calling, downloading applications and surfing the Web on the Verizon Wireless 3G network is now easier and faster for residents and travelers, thanks to a new cell site in Sacramento, the company announced.

The sites expand 3G wireless coverage and capacity along Interstate 80 and Mace Boulevard in Davis as well as areas in Rancho Cordova and Sacramento.

Verizon Wireless has invested more than $5.7 billion in its California network since being founded in 2000. In Northern California, the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network covers more than 5 million people including those in Sacramento.
