Restaurant coming to Blockbuster site?

By
April 7, 2011 |

There’s been some buzz downtown about a possible chain eatery coming to the 6,000-square-foot Blockbuster Video site at F and Third streets, but the real estate representative said negotiations are still under way, so he can’t disclose the tenant.

Mark Engemann of the Sacramento office of Colliers International, a commercial real estate company, said Wednesday, “There is significant interest in the Blockbuster building and we are in discussions with tenants. However, as they are ongoing, there is not much I can comment on. As things solidify, I may be able to provide you with additional information.

“This is a great site in a city that continues to be very desirable for both restaurants and retailers, and we are looking forward to being able to contribute some new energy to the downtown area.”

Meanwhile, Blockbuster’s last day is Sunday.
