SBDC announces spring workshops

The Small Business Development Center of Greater Sacramento has released its schedule of spring workshops.

Among the workshops is one titled “Social Media for Small Business” on Wednesday, April 13. This three-hour workshop will cover the basics of setting up a Facebook account, how Twitter can create a positive buzz about your business and how Linked-In fosters professional alliances.  The cost is $40. Resource materials are included. To register, go to http://www.sbdc.net.

On May 5, the Federal Technology Center will present a free workshop on government subcontracting. Attendees will learn the basics for prime contractors who are managing subcontracts, and subcontractors who are working with primes or managing other subcontractors. Other topics to be covered include subcontract administration, marketing to prime contractors, common errors, payment issues and more. To register, go to http://www.theftc.org.
