Senders Wines wins two silver medals

By From page A11 | February 02, 2014

Senders Wines is ringing in the new year with a couple of new decorations for its cellar.

Dr. Craig and Karen Senders’ new release, a 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon retailing for $45, grabbed a silver medal, and their 2010 Pinot Noir, retailing for $38, won yet another silver in the San Francisco Wine Competition in their respective price categories.

“It’s always such an honor to be recognized at competitions,” Craig Senders said. “Of course it feels good, but it’s always a bit nerve-racking to submit your work for judgment, and this is the first time we participated in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition,” the largest contest for American wines in the world.

Senders Wines was founded in 2005. Wine sales help fund the couple’s work around the world repairing cleft lips and palates. For more information, visit senderswines.com.
