The U.S. Small Business Administration offers a Small Business Resource Summit from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at the Citrus Heights Community Center, 6300 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights. Admission is free.
Workshop topics include the elements of starting a business in today’s economic environment; what you should know about business taxes; how businesses are getting funding in today’s economy; 10 key indicators for business development; ways to increase your sales with import/export; and how to sell your products and/or services to government.
In a keynote presentation at 10 a.m., David Gallo of the Center for Economic Development will talk about “The Road Ahead: Economic Forecast for Greater Sacramento.”
A business networking session follows from 11:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., allowing participants to network with other business owners and meet face to face with more than 40 resource partners displaying information about programs and services that can assist businesses.
The event is sponsored by the city of Citrus Heights Economic Development Department.
