The Davis Makerspace continues its series of evening demonstrations from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Last Wednesday Jim Stewart, owner of JK Micro, kicked off the series with the dissection of a small single-cylinder engine, in which he explained each part and its function along the way. This week, he will lead a rebuild of the same engine, fill it with fluids and start it up.

His talk is free and open to the public, and attendance at last week’s teardown is not necessary to take part in the rebuild this week.

The Davis Makerspace is in the Tim Spencer Alley between Second and Third streets. Donations toward the nonprofit, all-volunteer makerspace are welcome.
