“Building Blocks for Better Business” is the theme of the second annual Yolo County Small Business Resource Summit, which runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26. Registration and networking begin at 8:30 a.m.

The event is presented by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Small Business Development Center, in collaboration with the Davis Chamber of Commerce and city of Davis. It will take place in the Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center at UC Davis.

Gurbax Sahota, president and CEO of the California Association for Local Economic Development and executive director of the California Academy for Economic Development, will be the keynote speaker. Sahota will answer the question “How Does Economic Development Benefit Business?”

Other sessions will include business funding in today’s economy, business taxes — what you need to know, marketing your business and how to get more customers. Networking and exhibits also are planned.

Seating is limited; register online before June 14 at www.eventbrite.com/org/2304655445. For more information, call 530-669-6316.
