A series of three free financial seminars designed specifically for women will be offered this fall by Travis Credit Union. Women of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds are invited to participate. The sessions will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the credit union’s Community Room, One Travis Way in Vacaville.

* Tuesday: “Where Are You Now?” This workshop helps women actively plan for financial security. Individuals will determine their current and desired financial situation, understand women’s unique financial challenges and explore their money values and emotions. Participants also will identify their financial barriers, get tips to fine-tune their spending plan and develop their own personal action plan.

* Oct. 22: “Are You Covered?” Participants will learn how to protect their credit rating, avoid fraud, prepare for “what if” situations, and have adequate insurance in place. They also will start to develop their own personal action plan.

* Nov. 12: “Are You Ready for Change?” Participants will discuss how to organize important papers, complete financial documents, tie up estate planning loose ends, review investment goals and identify reliable resources. The end result will be setting in motion personal financial plans for financial independence.

Reservations are due the day before each class. To save a seat, call 707-449-4000.
