Travis offers first-time home buyer workshop
Travis Credit Union will present a free seminar titled “Everything You Want to Know About Being a First-Time Home Buyer” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 21.
The workshop will take place in the Community Room at Travis Credit Union, One Travis Way, Vacaville.
Preparation for home ownership begins long before the purchase actually takes place, a news release said. This seminar covers pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, determining how much house is affordable, saving for a down payment and other costs, credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, as well as the mortgage lending process.
Based in Vacaville, Travis Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution serving those who live or work in Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Yolo counties. Travis is the 12th largest credit union in California with more than 175,000 members and more than $1.9 billion in assets.
