Travis Credit Union will present a free seminar titled “Everything You Want to Know About Being a First-Time Home Buyer” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 21.

Preparation for home ownership begins long before the purchase actually takes place, a news release said. This seminar covers pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, determining how much house is affordable, saving for a down payment and other costs, credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, as well as the mortgage lending process.
Based in Vacaville, Travis Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution serving those who live or work in Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Merced Napa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus and Yolo counties.
