By From page A13 | May 18, 2014

The Wal-Mart Foundation has granted $2,500 to the Woodland Fire Department for the purchase of hazardous materials monitors that will be placed on fire apparatus.

These monitors will test the air quality after a structure fire while responders perform salvage and mop-up operations, Woodland fire Capt. Erik Komula said. They will replace older units.
