A Davis Chamber of Commerce “lunch and learn” session on the Affordable Care Act and its impact on local businesses will be offered Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. in Davis. The session, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., is sponsored by Woodland Healthcare — Davis.

“We’ve heard from many business owners anxiously looking for clarity on how the ACA’s implementation will affect their business and employees,” a Chamber flier says. “This workshop is all about providing resources, answers and strategies businesses can implement to improve their bottom line while providing health care coverage for their employees.”

Open enrollment in the health insurance marketplace begins Oct. 1.

Representatives of health care and coverage providers will be available to discuss their plans. Currently confirmed are Woodland Healthcare; Western Health Advantage; Sutter Davis Hospital; Bespoke Benefits; Wraith, Scarlett & Randolph Insurance Services; and Van Beurden Insurance Services.

Admission to the workshop is $5 for Chamber members and $15 for nonmembers. Registration is required; call 530-756-5160, visit tinyurl.com/DCOCLunch or email [email protected].

Lunch will not be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own.
