Danny Tomasello did just that as he orchestrated the second annual Davis Music Festival on Saturday. More than 1,500 people meandered through downtown Davis from 1:30 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, listening to everything from punk to hip-hop to rock to funk and some styles that defy definition.
“It’s really like a giant puzzle,” said Tomasello, the festival founder. “It’s connecting an artist with a venue, and a venue with a sound.”
From the smiles on people’s faces, Tomasello got it right.

However, there’s a lot to do in town even before the first cyclists pedal out of the Livestrong Village in Central Park on Sunday morning. Riders have a choice of three courses covering 20, 65 and 100 miles.
