Another bar to replace G St. Pub

A liquor license is posted for Wunderbar Industries LLC at 228 G St., the former spot of G Street Pub. A new page on Davis Wiki said the former head bartender for the G Street Pub hopes to open the new bar this fall. It’s unclear whether Wunderbar will be the name.  

New spot for ice cream, cupcakes

Sugar Daddies opened Monday afternoon at 113 E St., the former spot for Yogurt Shack. The Davis Warehouse, an indoor baseball-batting cage, is open at 17C Arboretum Drive, Suite D. The indoor training facility has two batting cages and a pitchers’ mound. Jacksonfly takes another try

The consignment store Jacksonfly reopened on Memorial Day weekend at its new location, 820 Fourth St., next to Apex Cycles. It sells new, used and vintage clothing. It was closed for several months after leaving its last address, which was behind Peet’s Coffee & Tea.  

Wine bar to open this summer?

Vini Wine Bar, at 611 Second St., is coming along. Beautiful new floor and walls have transformed the space from its previous life as Mengali’s Florist. Cabinets and fixture installation is under way. Owner Jeff Day said he is shooting for a July opening for the bar, which features self-serve “enomatic” wine vending machines.
