Iris Mary Matthews (nee Sheppard), a retired dressmaker and tailor born in 1941, died suddenly at home on March 8, 2011. She and her husband, Harry Matthews, were longtime Davis residents while he was on the UC Davis faculty. The funeral took place on March 12 in New Zealand, followed by cremation.
