Petition drive pushes gun background checks

Local residents will have the opportunity to sign a petition Saturday asking Congress to pass legislation requiring background checks for gun ownership. Members of the group Organizing for Action will have a table at the Davis Farmers Market from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.
