Visiting soprano Sarah Pelletier and pianist Lois Shapiro will perform in the Mondavi Center’s Vanderhoef Studio Theater at 7 p.m. Friday.

Featured will be works that evoke Emily Dickinson’s unique poetic voice, including new music (incorporating her texts) by Eric Sawyer and UC Davis faculty composer Ross Bauer, and older music by Aaron Copland — all inspired by Dickinson’s expansive, whimsical, mystical and provocative poetry.

Tickets are $20 general, $8 for students and children, available at www.mondaviarts.org or (530) 754-2787.
