Sharron Elizabeth Guerrieri of Davis and Martin Anton Scheiber of Nicolaus are engaged to be married on Aug. 3, 2013, in Davis.

Scheiber and Guerrieri got engaged on a recent trip to Zion National Park after completing a pre-dawn hike to the 6,000-foot-tall peak of Angels Landing. Scheiber proposed after the couple watched the sun rise from the peak.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Maureen and Dennis Guerrieri of Davis. She is a 2004 graduate of Davis High School and works in accounts payable. She received her JD/MBA at the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law and Sacramento State, and her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. She is working at the California State Lands Commission.

The groom-to-be is the son of Nancy and Alan Cheiber of Nicolaus. He majored in civil engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is currently a senior project manager at Clark Pacific.
