Ryan Hodges of Davis and Dorothy Cockroft of San Carlos are engaged to be married Nov. 9, 2013.

The groom-to-be graduated from Davis High School in 2004 and is the son of David and Shellie Hodges of Davis. Hodges earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon. He is a student ministry intern at Central Peninsula Church.
The bride-to-be has a master’s degree in bio-medical engineering from the University of Miami. She is a clinical service engineer at Beckman Coulte and the daughter of Robert and Ellafe Cockroft of Pompano Beach, Fla.
Cockroft grew up in Foster City before moving to Florida her sophomore year in high school. After college, she returned to the area, where she met Hodges at a church group.
