Support Acme at Co-op wine-tasting

By May 4, 2011

The Davis Food Co-op, 620 G St. in downtown Davis, will host a wine-tasting of Zinfandels from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13.

The cost is $1 per taste, and profits benefit Acme Theatre Company, a nonprofit community theater group for young artists of high school age. Its mission is to present plays of high literary quality while providing opportunities for young people to learn various acting and technical skills. Acme Theatre Company is an organization run entirely by the young people themselves under the direction of a small cadre of adult mentors.

The Davis Food Co-op is a full line member-owned supermarket specializing in natural, organic and minimally processed foods. The Co-op is open to the general public to shop and join. Members pay the shelf price while non-members pay a 5 percent surcharge.

For more information about the wine-tasting, email Julie Cross at [email protected] or call the Co-op at (530) 758-2667.
