The Davis High School Academic Center bestowed “Student of the Month” honors on 10 deserving students last week for their willingness to improve their English proficiency and grades. Every month, students will be nominated by UC Davis tutors in the academic center for their effort, attendance, assignments, organization and grades. In addition to a certificate of appreciation, students will receive a $10 gift card and an entry to win an end-of-the-year grand prize. This month’s students of the month are: Guillermo Jose Rodriguez Torres, Mohammed Arab, Kasra Maroufkhani, Sophia Lu, Yoojin An, Sana Kashani, Angel Lopez, Yanely Herrera, Debora Chavez-Anguiano and Amani Lee.
