Need financial assistance to sign up for city of Davis classes and programs? You may be eligible for a scholarship through the city’s fee subsidy/scholarship program.

The city of Davis allocates funds each year to help offset the cost of city recreation programs for low-income households. Those who qualify receive 50 percent of program fees up to their allotted household amount.

Because the amount of funding and number of subsidy requests varies, the scholarship provides up to $250 per household per year. Community Services is currently accepting scholarship applications for the summer, fall and winter/spring 2015. The application is due Friday, Feb. 14.

To get your fee subsidy application online, visit http://www.cityofdavis.org, type “fee subsidy” in the search bar, download the application, complete it, and return it with the necessary documents to: City of Davis Community Services Office, 600 A St., Suite C; or the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St. Call 530-757-5696 for details.

To download the winter/spring recreation schedule, go online to http://www.cityofdavis.org or stop by the offices listed above. There are programs and services for all ages and you’re sure to find a variety of classes to suit your interests.
